Bluebird Days with soft snow in the afternoon, this is heaven!! The resort is currently in the midst of a high pressure system, which altho means gorgeous clear days it sadly means a week without snow. |

All lifts are now open, with the majority of runs (Delirium Dive, Silver City, Wild West and South Side Shoots are still closed though due to lack of snow). The runs for the most part all have a good base however a few of the goats eye runs are still struggling.
The resort is just coming out of a weeklong high pressure system which has given us beautiful bluebird days at the expense of fresh snow. Current riding conditions are spring like with the morning snow been quite hard however quickly softening up making for some really nice afternoon sessions.
The resort is still very quiet mid week with mainly locals and a few foreign tourists, weekends are a bit busier with the usual influx of people from Calgary.
Fresh snow is forecast from Thursday onwards which will be excellent as after 5 days of warm temperatures without it, it is beginning to look like we need it there is also an associated temperature drop from the current +3 to -17 forecast.
The conditions are still excellent though so much so I am heading there now!! |
