Yes, it is still snowing but down in the valley it is now sleat, but we had at least 15cm in the valley before it turned to rain and now sleat as it became colder again. They say this will continue again tomorrow. Sure hope so, the moutain needed a top up.
Today most lifts were closed by midday. Very cold, windy, heavy wet snow lower down and avalanche level 4/5 . Tomorrow if it does get warmer it could be a black level 5 day. Stay safe those out already. Heavy snow on very little base, perfect to slide.
The roads I heard were also crazy almost the whole way to Alberville and if you are planning to drive up the mountain before Sunday, take chains, all the chain signs are on right now so they will not let you up without them if they catch you. But that could change tomorrow if it warms up.
BUT Sunday the sun will be shinning. Rock on!! |
