Are the weather watchers right, I hope so. The pistes are hard and icy in the mornings but softer in the afternoons. There is still quite a good base but it is starting to get thinner nearer to the different stations in the area. The off piste is ok in places where the wind left pockets of good snow but most areas are starting to become rocky just under the surface so you need to watch out when riding.
On the plus side, riding in the Park and on the Boarder cross is fun and carving on hard pistes is very challenging. And the sun is always shinning. Hiking up the ridges gives great views and riding down is ok, just not the powder we all wish for.
If the forcast is correct, we should see some snow in the coming days, I sure hope so. |
