| Icy and hard in mornings, softening in the afternoons. But blue skies and sunny, still very cold. |

| The sun is still shinning all day. The last few days have been very sunny with clear skies at night making it very cold. The settled spell is continuing for the next few days but they do say change is coming. Riding on piste is ok. They are very hard and icy in the mornings but getting softer in the afternoons. The large snow falls early in the season are making it possible for the pistes to be kept in good condition in most places. The snow part above Arc 1600 is being extended and the boarder cross in Arc 2000 is fun, but very easy. Riding off piste is very varied. Still some softer snow in sheltered gullies where the wind has blown it. The open areas are very cruddy with wind slab and hard crust. Not a lot of fun. Let's start praying to the snow gods again. |
