Woke up to 6" of fresh overnight snow and the sky was now clear.
Made our way up to the small ski hill which is located 5 minutes drive above the hot pools.
I bought the first lift ticket of the day and was on the second chair up the hill after the ski patrol.
Its not a big place but has a top elevation of 5000ft dropping to the base lodge at 4000ft.
There is a substantial daylodge building which houses the ticket office, ski school and restaurant/bar.
There are only 2 lifts, a triple chair and a poma drag lift serving a mix of mainly blue and green runs as well as a couple of short blacks.
The temp at the top was a cool -22c and the hands were cold when I got the camera out.
Done a few laps making fresh tracks everytime before retiring to the daylodge for a warm coffee. As there was no kindercare facility on the hill I then gave Jill the lift ticket and she got a few powder laps in while Craig and I played out in the snow once the sun came over the mountain tops.
A few school kids and a couple of other snowboarders were all that was on the hill.
Came back down to the Hotel after lunch to chill out for a while before hitting the hot natural thermal pools.
An enjoyable few hours sliding.Click to view full image
