Great riding board, perfect for a bit of everything. Very fast and responsive, but possibly a bit stiff for serious park use. Like any all-mountain board it is a compromise at extremes like the park or powder, but it can handle anything and is exceptional on-piste.
The white top-sheet peeling as described by the previous poster is actually a RECALL ISSUE, and Rome will probably replace your board for free. They gave me the latest model this time last year as a replacement. Great service from Rome, they put their hands up and admitted they used the wrong kind of adhesive.
The Solution has now been replaced by the Headline, which is a very similar board but without the lamination problems. |

My first board so I only have rental planks to compare it to. The solution has everything you want from an all mountain stick.
The sintered base is definitely quick and the edges hold well enough. Gave me much more confidence than anything else I've ridden before and this held through with me more than holding my own against more experienced riding buddies last year on boarderX course.
There is plenty of pop in it and whilst its not the softest board in the world I can still tailpress it with relative ease (not sure I can blame any balance issues on it as much as I would like to).
Its graphics are pretty sweet, nice colour scheme and detailed decals but this leads me to its one floor, the topsheet. For what looks like purely aesthetic reasons Rome put on a shiny white topsheet, whilst this looks nice enough its slipy as hell. Whats more the topsheet does seem to chip badly too in lift queues.
Still love this board, and would recommend it despite its faults (topsheets can be fixed after all) hope to get many more days fun out of it yet ;) |
