Hey, Just got back from a week and a half at this place. All in all its a pretty savvy little resort. It Isn't a big resort, having only two pistes, however there is room for experimenting and they have an ok snow park tat usually has a decent sized jumps goin.
Being there towards the end of the season the snow was starting to run off, and ssections of the piste where closed. however my brother and his friend had been out for a month before i got out there and where blessed with powder =P the tree runs they did look really good and the unfortunate fact that they're skiers ment they could make full use of the vanoise national park for ski touring.
This resort was great for developing my technique on and getting really comfortable with being on a board. I'd definatley reccomend it for any begginers looking for a nice chilled out few days, though more than a week and you'll be pushing your imagination a bit too far as there are only the two pistes.
Having said that, Courchevel and the 3 valleys is about 30-45 mins drive away if you dont want a few mega days out...just try not to be hung over when u go, it will ruin it =P haha. As for the town, there are a few nice pizza places including the legendary pizza van and a nice bar with free wifi. There's also some Hire places if your needing kit.
All in all this is a good resort, but the small number of pistes do limit the amount of enjoment that can be had.
Hope this helps anyone looking at it. |
