Good value resort. Ideal for begginer, okay for intermediate, not great for advanced in my opinion.
Most pistes run through the trees and some are quite narrow.
Begginers are at the top of the mountain on wide runs.
Resort can be quiet. No queues on most days.
No park as such, a few rails dotted around and a few natural hits.
Have had good tuition on the whole. Rental gear has been poor quality in the past, resulting in cold wet feet. Take your own gear.
Getting more expensive these days, but still a bargain. |

Cheap!Cheap food,Cheap drink, cheap tuition.
Good weather in my experience.
No lift queues.
Good for begginers.
The place has character! |

| Hot Spots |
Best hotel: Hotel Pamporovo. Well worth paying for the best hotel in town.
The Shnezhanka tower at the top does a good Calzone.
Snow Shack snowboard shop under hotel markony offer good advice and quality gear with low prices. |
|
| Weaknesses |
Shuttle buses every half hour from most hotels. Not needed from Markony.
Airport delays - poor bulgarian airports.
Low quality flights- cramped and not luxurious!
Nightlife isn't great, don't go there to pull (unless you want to pay the prostitutes).
One flat on the main route down... you can make it if you're above average but you really have to hammer into it.
Inclusive food isn't great, but if you're not fussy you'll not starve. |
