Review Detail
La Clusaz is an extremely pretty village one hour away from Geneva (great for a weekend break). We stayed in a catered chalet ( which is one of the few ski in / ski out available.

We usually go in January when the schools go back in the UK and France, and because of this you have the slopes to yourself. There have been times when I have been on my own on a 2km run (no one to crash into). Resort is at 1000m but top lift is at 2400m and because of its proximity to the lakes of Geneva and Annecy gets a decent annual snowfall.

Loads for beginners and intermediates and some outrageously good off piste if you are prepared to hike. Lots of trees as well.
Lots of variation. Empty pistes. No lift queues. Much cheaper than other resorts. Not many English and even fewer Ruskies.
Hot Spots
La Balme. Beauregard trees.
Too many button lifts, but you can work around them.
