I first learnt to snowboard here about 4-5 years ago, and thought it was great. I could ski, so knew a little about dry slopes. I had three lessons, which enabed me to go to Tignes and join an Intermediate class straightaway.
The instruction was good, the surface was good, lifts okay (I hate button lifts anyway).
Then I took my mate a year or two later. By now I was very confident on a board, as was he.
The slope was terrible. As all the reviews say - it was muddy. But it was also too slippy. We could not get an edge at all, and ending up sliding on our arses most of the time. It was a complete waste of money, including the petrol we paid to get there. Wouldn't ever go back.
It's about time someone build a SnoDome down South (preferably Brighton!!!). Most of the ones I've seen are all north of London. |

Learnt how to Snowboard and had some skiing lessons, staff are very friendly, detailed and patient (they needed a lot of patience when they taught me hehe). Situated in a nice and quite location, easy to find and get to. Skis, boots & snowboards are available to use during your lesson or open pratice!
Overall I thought it was very impressive and I loved the place. |

| They taught me to ski but last year after skiiing in Austria I wanted to do the extreme stuff that only boarders can do. The guys at Knockhatch are so user friendly and I didn't have to break anything unlike my mate who went to his local dry slope! I've just spent a great week at Bansko Bulgaria and thanks to Knockhatch was able to keep up with Mandy on a black!! Chechout U-Tube for our posting coming soon! |

Place is a sham... Charge you money to go on a slope that isnt fit for its function. doesnt matter what you try, it doesnt work. I got the same its your fault lines, "board is too waxy." "errr no its not, it was bought just for dryslope thus never actually been waxed. Works fine on every other dryslope I've been to!"
Guys that have learnt there, I recomend going and having lessons else where to fix the problems that will have been tought to you having to learn to ride this crap.
If they dont get it re-surfaced or do somthing soon its gotta get closed down. Flat refused to give a refund and where really ignorant about it... bet they would be broke in a month if they gave back all the money to people who asked for refunds because the slope is rubbish.
Cant warn people away enough... Dont go here!!!! |

A group of six turned up all excited about trying our new boots on. In fact we did get to try our new boots on but unfortunately didn't manage to ski in them.
We went up to the top; all experienced skiers, and set off to the bottom. I thought someone had put super glue on my skis as it took an almighty push to get going.
All of us got to the bottom after the first run and handed our skis back in, “It was awful”. Do not try this slope, as it will put you off skiing,
