Review Detail
Kirchberg sits just up the valley / round the corner from Kitbuhel, and shares the same ski area. It's a picturesque, one-roundabout, three roads kind of a town. Small enough to walk around but big enough to have a decent supermarket, some shops and fair number of bars.

It's not a particularly boarder friendly resort, there's lots of schusses, some of which require near-terminal-velocity fall-lining to make, some which require skier-assist or walking. The lifts are generally good, mostly fast with a few heated/covered chairs, and the mountain-side restaurants serve decent food for normal mountain-prices.

Perhaps the biggest shame is that they haven't capitalised on the space available on the Kitzbuhel-horn. It's a high-plateau bowl which would make a perfect mega-park with minimal investment, but instead feels like a tiny resort stuck in the 70s.

Overall I wouldn't go back unless I was forced back with the same group of friends (relatives of the hotel owner), but it was still a good week with some deep powder, some good park action and lots of fast carving / rollers. Back to Ste Foy next year....
Strengths
Good three-section park above Pass-Thun. Starter park at the top, then a boxes-only section, finishes with a decent selection of kickers, rollers and boxes. No rails?

Lots of tree-lined routes, good touring across valleys, well groomed motorways, good smaller restaurants, free parking everywhere, austrian hospitality.
Hot Spots
Snowpark above Pass-Thun, off-piste to the right of Pengelstein and under the 3S cable-car, restaurant in Aaschau with huge, delicious portions. :)
Weaknesses
Need a car (packed busses), generally short runs, off-piste tracked out very quickly (despite there being loads), pretty busy (although no queues >5mins).

Kitzbuhel-horn, especially the only one-jump park I've ever seen....
