Saw a couple of people wearing this lid at Tam and thought, I want one of those! Giro make some great lids for both snowsports and cycling so you know you are getting quality. To get a great looking lid at the same time, you know you are quids in. Army style is in at the moment, how long it will last I don't know, but this really is a great looking lid.
Not readily available in the UK, I sourced my lid from the States via ebay and at around £40 with shipping, it was a steal. Add tune-ups (ear pads with which to listen to your tunes) at another £20 and you have a brilliant piece of kit for around £60!!
The lid is very comfy with the inner pads making it feel snug to your bonce. The removable ear pads, (which can be replaced by the tune-ups) allow you to give yourself a bit of airflow around the head on warm days, but on the cool days give you that needed warmth. The lid also has a goggle strap at the back to keep your goggles in check.
All in all, a great lid at a great price if you lnow where to look (give you a tip - the States). |
