This is one of the two resorts in the Spanish Pyrenees that Spaniards speak fondly about (the other one being Baquiera Beret)...I couldn't really see the attraction myself but I suppose as far as Spanish resorts go it's one of the best.
Typical spanish features...nothing very steep, reasonable quality snow, crammed with people at the weekends, below average facilities and customer service... |

| if you're in Spain and fancy a few days on the mountains it does the trick...the snow park was suprisingly good |

| Weaknesses |
| not enough chairlifts and too many tbars (slowwww), big queues on weekends, no steep faces (so for beginners / intermediates it would be a good choice), the town of formigal isnt at the base of the slopes (5 mins away by bus, annoying!) |
