got a sweet all in deal for 5 lads over a weekend only (friday to Sun)
Easyjet London to Basel (£45 return)then it was about 1 and half hours(taxi split 5 ways return approx £60 each return) to the door of hotel (approx £85 pp for the two nights)which was 5 mins walk from the lifts.
Weekend pass was about £25 per day....
so we were all on the slopes about £240 for 2 full days...not bad going.
Overall the resort has a couple of all right bars like the Yacutan, full of seasoners and 'crazy swiss' dudes who love their rock! The resort is in a valley with 'Titlus' on one side(the biggest with the most gradient. The other side(we didnt ride there) look a little flat and there was a zillion kids and sleds waiting for the cabine up(so we didnt bother) although there was tons of snow and this side all sits in the tree line - so I suspect powder and tree lines were a plenty.
The terrin park(if you could call it that) wasnt so hot when we were there. There were about 5 rails - an S, a box and a few straight forward small kicker to rail jobs. There were also 2 (that's right only 2!) kickers that had trouble keeping your speed up and were kind of sh*t. There was no quarter and def no half pipe.
If you time this place after a big dump - it would be hard to top for a weekend trip!

| Strengths |
Overall the natural terrain was the highlight of Titlus. We were there 2 days after a week of dumping and still found plenty of powder to ride. Lots of it close to the pistes which was cool for less experienced riders to have taste of pow.
Most lifts were fast and didnt have to wait long in queue's.
The home trail to the valley is sh*t loads of fun.. |
|
| Weaknesses |
Half assed terrain park not directly serviced by any lifts
Some really sh*t/slow lifts like the Englstlenalp(bottom of the terrain park) is a great run but takes 40mins to get through the two person chair.
After two days we had almost everything - so wouldnt want to do more than a weekend here.
Expect to pay £10 for a burger!!
