I've stayed in catered chalets all my life, with my parents as a child and now with my own family and this company are the only ones who have got it right.
They have actually thought about what people want from their holiday which is so great. We got to chose our own meal times and book our nanny by the hour not 9-5. The place is so comfy and relaxed, with a huge library of books, games DVDs etc, and the food was actually food - filling and healthy which is ideal with you are skiing. lots of carbs and no messing around with silly portions. We had chicken pie, lasagna, chilli and lots of other really well cooked hearty meals. Our hosts were lovely showing us nice places to go out and taking us out for our first day on the slopes to show us all the best spots. They seem to really love their jobs, which is so refreshing when you are used to big TOs who seem to treat their staff terribly.
We will stop the search now we've found chillchalet because it really is the sort of place that you want to go back to year after year.
Strengths
in-house child care
lovely hosts
nightly bookings
fixed price year round
delicious and filling menu
Weaknesses
none

This chalet was AMAZING. It was situated about 2 hours transfer from Geneva Airport. We got amazing cheap flights with Easyjet then go the "Chill Bus" (see their website) to do our transfers at a very reasonable price from door to door.
The chalet itself is about 2 minutes walk to the bottom gondola and 2 mins to the next gondola, we had an amazing view of the les arcs/ la plagne valley and across to mont blanc on one side and a great view of the woods and the bottom of a ski run on the other.
The town was small and friendly with a little supermarket and an office to get advice, taxi's and all your lift passes from. They were most helpful.
Our chalet host was Helen, who was reasonably new to the chalet but you know what, i can't fault her. She was amazing. We had breakfast laid out when we awoke to hot chocolate croissants, and all sorts of lovely delights. A lovely frothy coffee machine and more tea and orange juice than you could drink. We all visited the supermarket and got baguettes fresh every morning, filled them with ham and cheese then into the backpack they went before setting off to the first lift.
The chalet rooms were super sweet, very comfortable and most imporantly clean!
We had an amazing time, we didn't have a dump of snow when we were there as it was blue skies every day but there are so many snow cannons on the piste's that it didn't matter, we had good snow cover from the cannons every day! You could hear them happily fuzzing away whilst you relaxed over tea at night.
For tea we had lovely hot filling meals from Chicken wrapped in bacon to an amazing potato and bacon creation, along with the most amazing hand man (by Helen) chocolate mousse and cheesecakes. Just lovely. Helen was an amazing host, she wouldn't let us lift a finger which is brilliant but we insisted on making our own cups of tea otherwise she'd have been rushed off her feet with 12 of us but we liked that, it made us feel more at home and relaxed than standing "on ceremony"!
There is plenty to do in the area, there is a snow sports shop right above the chalet along with a pharmacy (you never know when you will need it) and like i said, the supermarket and a few lovely bars. There is a nightclub also and we really wanted to give it a go but we were so tired out after the days on the snow we never made it there!!!
Chris, one of the hosts from the other chalet in Bourge St. Maurice even took orders for our booze and delivered 50 bottles of beer that very same night - now THAT is service!
Finally, i can only reiterate that we had an AMAZING time so i'll be back next year - NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!
Strengths
Lovely Host
Great relaxing atmosphere
Super Clean Chalet
Ideally located
Weaknesses
I honestly couldn't give you one!

We were up at their new chalet in montchavin... first impressions were great, relaxed atmosphere, homely but clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The chalet itself is about 2 minutes walk to the bottom chair lift and 2 mins to the lowest gondola, we had a beautiful view of the les arcs/ la plagne valley and across to mont blanc on one side and a great view of the woods and the bottom of a ski run on the other. The chalet and the town itself felt fairly secluded and well situated for that 'chilled' feeling.
Breakfasts well very well catered for and the staff got us whatever we needed (within reason :) ) so everyone was happy with the help yourself selection.
Dinners were fantastic, no shmancy pants starters and over prepped mush... just great tasting homestyle cooking prepared fresh every night by the two chalet staff and using local produce... the tartaflette was a particular favourite.
The whole atmosphere was exactly what you would want on a holiday, relaxed and friendly, no pretentious 'dude' waffle nor any condescending atmosphere as we were only beginners/early intermediates (which i had encountered on my last chalet trip).
There were plenty of films and dvds to watch when we weren't out on the slopes as well as an xbox to play if the mood took us, although it could really do with another couple of controllers as it only had 1. Apparently they're getting a Wii soon but we weren't fussed that it wasn't there, the company was too good to worry about it.
Montchavin is a VERY quiet village so not great if you want to go out on the lash every night but we enjoyed a few nights out in the quiet local bars, there is a club... Oxygene which is well... straight out of the 80s and horribly over priced but good for a laugh on occasion.
The only thing that was a bit of a let-down was no internet access, which they did advertise but couldnt get hooked up until after we left... personally i was glad to be off the net for 2 weeks solid but i guess i should be picky about it.
Beds were comfortable but basic and the rooms were decent sized each room/suite has its own en-suite which was great but they were also the only toilets you could use, so if you needed the toilet after dinner you had to go down to your room and then come back up via the exterior staircase which took some getting used to, but gave me an excuse for a cheeky fag on the way back eheh.
But by far and away the best thing was the staff, both Dave and Leo were excellent throughout, great fun, thoroughly proffessional and made our holiday run like clockwork! (the other staff in the Bourg chalet seemed equally great and we met them a few times during our stay, so kudos to the management for good recruitment)
oh, and did i mention free binding and board hire? we were free to test anything and everything which was great and they were really helpful with problem setups too. Unfortunately it did lack a dedicated board room and workshop but no-one seemed to mind doing the servicing on the balcony or in the living area in the evenings.
Strengths
Free board hire
cheap accommodation
Brilliant staff
Great cooking
fantastic atmosphere and friendly environment
Weaknesses
no dedicated boardroom,
no upstairs toilet
