| Just got back from an amazing trip and felt compelled to tell you guys! :) Staying at this chalet has been great. The food was superb, the beds were very comfortable and the treatment we received from Jay and Laura has been second to none. Transfers were included in the price, along with breakfast, afternoon cake and three course meals in the evening. A typical day at chalet Jora would go like; wake up and have breakfast, I usually went for the boiled eggs on toast. Jay will take you to the gondola each morning at an agreed time, be it a very short journey as we were so close to the lift. About a two minute drive or a ten minute stroll, whatever takes your fancy. After a hard day's slog on the hill, I'd go for a nice refreshing pint at Harry's Bar before Jay picks you up and takes you back to the chalet, where you're greeted with an enormous home made cake. Shortly after, dinner is served! Laura is an excellant cook and will make sure you don't leave to table without being royally stuffed with top quality food! In the meantime, Jay will make sure that the free wine is flowing. After that, the choice really is up to you. You could go out to one of many good bars or stay in and play on the Wii or watch a DVD etc. Plenty of activities to keep you entertained that's for sure! Also worth a mention that Jay is a snowboard instructor for Method, for those of you who want lessons, maybe able to get you a discount too! In conclusion, if you're short on monies but don't want to sacrifice quality of accommodation then chalet Jora is definately worth a consideration. Check out their website for more info and photos. |
