I`ve had lessons from a few different schools over the years and cab9 definitely fitted the bill and the last few times ive been riding i've made sure i go with them. recommended by a friend, they've always been really friendly, professional and my technique has improved massively. Jono and Lee know their stuff and know how to get the message across to make you rip!
Really stoked, already booked again for this winter and cant wait to reach the next level!!
Strengths
Friendly, Patient and really informative

Unfort, despite some positive recommendations from friends, cab9 was a disappointment. The instructor offered almost no feed back on technique unless repeatedly asked. Lessons lacked any structure and were just follow my leader. Also 3hour lessons always finished up to half an hour early. Very slack.
Strengths
Group size small
Weaknesses
Lacks any structure to lessons.

Before Cab9 I'd had one ski holiday and one snowboard and wasn't sure which one I was (I know, heresy). I enjoyed the skiing but the boarding had frustrated me up to that point. Well after 4 mornings with Paul I was certainly convinced that boarding is where my heart lies!!

My main desire was to improve my enjoyment on the board whilst at the same time improving technically and being able to tackle more challenging runs. I was doing this and more by the end.

Working in a small group we seemed to cover techniques more thoroughly and there was regular observations and feedback of our progress, something you are lucky to get in an ESF lesson. I found this really useful because I like to know what I am doing wrong so i can work on it. The excercises we practised had real benefits. The runs we used were really good to learn on - quiet, varied and enjoyable.

One aspect of boarding I don't enjoy is having to carry speed through flat long sections. I hate it. I was pushed and coached through so whilst I still don't particularly enjoy it, I can do it better.

There was one occasion where I was a step to far out of my comfort zone but I was coached through it and have no regrets!

The only drawback is that they aren't in Tignes where I'm going this year!

I had to stop swearing because there was a young lady in our group.
