This resort is ingrained in my memory as it was the first resort I ever snowboarded on and immediately fell in love with it!! I went twice in 2005 and twice again in 2006 although the last trip I went on in Feb 2006 was dissapointing due to the weather but thankfully I was there during an event and there was lots to do with competitions and a skate ramp and was able to watch riders that were brave enough to brave the heavy sleet out on the snow park!!
This is also the resort where the nippon open is held and they have definately chosen a well equipped and friendly resort.
For a beginner its a haven with many green runs dotted around and a beginner could still board down the mile long run if they fancied a trip up the gondola. The resort is full of lifts and gondolas making access to most areas easy and with about 29 courses to pick from, the lift access is a godsend!! For all those park junkies definately give the park ago, its the one all the pros compete in!!
Restaurant facilities were good and prices were not too bad, I love the fact that the food on offer is healthy and filling! although the coffee was not too great! I would defiantely stock up on good snacks at the convience store before hitting this resort as the resort shop is pricey and choice was dire!!
