A huge party is being planned to take place when one of the biggest events in world snowboarding arrives in Oslo in February.
The World Snowboarding Championships are looking to celebrate the “deep cultural links between boarding and music”.

The event takes place from February 10th to 19th and will attract 240 riders from 30 countries who will be battling it out for titles. Laura Berry, from Great Britain is one of the leading contenders for the slopestyle competition and Kate Foster is also looking to do well in the halfpipe.

The organisers have said that the event, “… is the collective symbol of the global snowboard community, created by all independent snowboard event organisers, nations and competitive snowboarders together. WSC’s vision is to demonstrate to the world how great competitive snowboarding is when it is run by snowboarders.”

When the event rolls into town the WSC will be a fantastic display of global youth culture and snowboarding lifestyle.

The music is set to be as attractive as the snowboarding, well nearly, but you will be able to see Dropkick Murphys along with Turbonegro and many other bands.

As the WSC rolls nearer it is getting to the time when we have to start looking up flights to Oslo.
