Perisher has honoured snowboarder Torah Bright's achievements in the sport by naming a superpipe after her. |
|
The 23 year old has an impressive list of boarding achievements including a haul of X Games Superpipe medals, World Superpipe Championship wins, a TTR tour title and an Olympic gold medal.
Now the Australian boarder has capped a phenomenal career with the ultimate honour - her own superpipe at Perisher resort.
The new pipe will be known as Bright's Pipe, celebrating the work of Torah herself and the outstanding coaching contribution of her brother Ben.
Gary Grant, general marketing manager at Perisher, praised Bright's collective impact on the sport:
"Perisher is proud to have Torah as Perisher's Ambassador and it was a special moment for us all to see Torah to cut the ribbon and officially rename the pipe in her honour” |
