It is a combination of undeniably incredible terrain and close proximity to Vancouver places, Whistler has 37 lifts accessing over 8,000 acres of diverse and challenging terrain, bowls, steeps, trees, backcountry access, five terrain parks, a boarder cross track, and a super pipe. It sounds overwhelming for beginners, but rest assured that Whistler is the place for all ability levels. Anyone can ride here for years without ever becoming bored. The area also offers varieties of restaurants, clubs, and bars for that late night entertainment. For visitors who like to party check out the resort’s annual World Ski and Snowboard Festival that occurs every April and for the powder hounds get the “Fresh Tracks” tickets to gain access to the mountain before the crowds at 7:30am. The best time to stay at Whistler is early January to get a local vibe and lots of pow while avoiding the Christmas vacationers crowd.

This resort offers loads of trees, tons of deep powder, vast natural hits, fun parks, half-pipes, night riding, and a boarder cross circuit. Davos provides 320km of amazing snowboard terrain on slopes that retain snow very well. The area is of five different mountains, Jakobshorn and Parsenn are the two most popular and largest areas. Parsenn has plenty of astounding long pistes and free ride options, while Jakobshorn is home to the two half pipes and the main terrain park. From Klosters visitors can access the quiet area of Madrisa and Pischa which have decent freeriding. The final area of Davos is Rinerhorn, located at the end of the valley that has plenty of T-bars which usually keep people away from the area. Going to Rinerhorn gives visitors a chance to stick first lines into the open and wooded areas due to the few crowds it gets. Davos has few good bars to go to for those party goers, but the resort is good for all ability level snowboarders.

No worries though, Mammoth is an enormous place and will always have room for new snowboarders. It is undoubtedly one of the biggest resorts in America that provides over 150 trials that are set out on a long-since dead volcano and a variety of terrain from open bowls to trees and an efficient lift system.
