Well for those of you who took the annual pilgrimage to London this weekend, you were actually treated to a pretty decent lineup at this year's London Ski and Snowboard Show, which packed out Earls Court from Wednesday through to Sunday. This year's show was super busy for everyone involved, but we made sure we caught up with as many people as possible to bring you the latest and the greatest for next season – and because we're so nice, we thought we'd give you the lowdown on our top 3 companies you should get involved with this season.

Words - Kaz Willmer
Treeline Chalets
If you've ever stayed with Treeline Chalets, you know that they're pretty unbeatable. Amy and Duncan have set up everything that any snowboarder needs for a winter trip, at prices far lower than you'd expect to pay for the amount you get! Whether you're looking for catered chalets, self-catered apartments, or both, then Treeline Chalets can provide you with top-quality luxury accommodation, right in the heart of the incredible shred-paradise that is Morzine in the Portes de Soleil – for pretty much any number of you who want to stay.

This season's news is that they've just got bigger, and added another two chalets to their already awesome array of fresh pads! Being in Morzine means you're only an hour away from Geneva, and Treeline can pick you up from the airport, and drop you at your accommodation, with lift passes ready to go. And if you go for the catering option (which we truly recommend!) then the food is immense – from breakfast and afternoon tea, to full three-course dinners with wine. Hot tubs, waxing stations, Rome Snowboards test centres, heated boot rooms, yoga classes and more, there's nothing they haven't thought of – and on top of that, the Treeline Chalets crew are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

But what we love most about Treeline is their passion for the snow – they run their chalets with the mountains at their hearts, meaning they make sure you enjoy every minute of your stay, and have everything you could possibly need on hand. They sponsor some of the top snowboarders in the UK snowboarding industry, including our Olympian Dom Harrington, which shows their dedication to giving something back, and highlights the fact that if the chalets are good enough for the pros to relax in and recover after a rad day's training, they're good enough for the rest of us too.

Butta Wax
In literally just two seasons, the Butta boys have taken the UK snowboard industry by storm, with their homegrown, Surrey-made snowboard wax. This season, they've got even bigger and as well as having what was pretty much the raddest stand at the ski show (complete with celebrity barber Mr Natty giving fundraising snips in aid of prostate cancer), we were stoked they found a few minutes to give us a lowdown on their new products.

As well as having tried, tested and produced snowboard waxes for all different mountain temperatures, and more recently the first ever dryslope wax, they've also launched a surf wax suitable for the UK waters – complete with biodegradable packaging to make sure our beaches are kept cleaner. But for the winter, we're most excited by their waxing tins – pretty perfect for any Christmas present – complete with wax, scraper, brush, instructions and more.

But not only were these flying off their stand to every person who came by, they were also fast selling out of all their latest clothing lines – while still only half way through the show! We were super stoked to check out their clothing in the flesh – everything from girly tees, and college jackets, through to Butta onesies – and even a rad Airtech base-layer style top which would not only be perfect for mountain layering, but also for dryslope shreds.

The most popular piece of clothing, that had actually sold out before we got there, were the Butta AMC hoodies, complete with detachable facemask, mp3 pocket, and in-sleeve lift pass pocket. We recommend keeping your eyes on the Butta site for the return of these as there's nothing else you'd need for dome shred, spring shred, or any other day on the mountain this winter.

NothinButSnow Ski and Snowboard instructor courses
The word on the street about NothinButSnow's 100% pass rate has spread pretty fast, and within a day of the ski show, they had already sold out the last places on this season's ski and snowboard instructor courses. By the time I saw them two days later, they had already got well underway for filling up spots for winter 2015. We're not yet out of 2013, and these guys already know where the future's at – shred seasons in Canada!

NothinButSnow are officially the most genuine guys in the UK snowboard industry, and have an unbeatable passion for the snow. They run ski and snowboard instructor courses in Canada, and the launch of this season's gleaming fresh brochure has seen even more skiers and riders not only return for another year with NBS, but also more and more people wanting to join in the fun too.

These guys know the snow, love the snow and live the snow, and they have created the ultimate packages for any seasonnaire – from 4 week up to 11 week trips, on all levels of ski and snowboard (or both!) instructor courses. They offer the very top in accommodation, and keep the groups small so you get the best instruction, and truly looked after at every step of the way in one of the most immense powdery locations in the world.

Even just browsing their super fresh website makes you want to head to the snow, let alone finding out about their 100% pass rate on all their courses, their super open pricing system so you know exactly what you're getting (without any hidden costs!), and massive flexibility if you want to tailor your trip just for you.

After catching up with the NBS guys at the snow show, we are already stoked up for winter, thanks to their enthusiasm for something they love so much. What we do know is that no matter how much the word spreads about these guys, they'll always hold on to their roots about keeping the groups small as it's this family-feel and genuine passion that makes people come back with NBS year after year, and make their progression into the ski and snowboard professions. It's why you should get involved quickly before 2015 sells out too!
