I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with Tai last Thursday afternoon so here is the update....
When I turned up the nurse was with Tai so I was chatting to her parents John and Skye who are really proud of Tai and are pleased with her progress. The Dr’s have been stunned by Tai determination and have said in the first two months she will make rapid progress and then things will inevitably slow slightly but Tai has big plans for the future and is very driven when it comes to getting out of the hospital.

Tai has been doing really well in the last week. She has been working really hard with her physical and speech therapy and you can see that straight away. She was a lot more active moving her hands in gesticulation when talking and moving around in the bed. She can now walk unaided, her speech is a lot clearer, she was excited to be able to shower alone (don’t tell her I told you!) and she can feed herself too. There is still a long way to go but she is being moved onto a new ward next week where she will get her release date… there have been talks of parties and dance offs once she is out and I for one can not wait!!

Keep up the good work Tai we are behind you 100%!
