Africa's premier snowboarding content, Quiksnow, is returning for a show-stopping 2010 spectacle from 1-4 August at Afriski.
For the first time, the event will be hosted by Afriski, which lies in the heart of the Maluti mountains. Highlights of this year's Quiksnow will include the presence of Bag Jump - an innovative device that offers improved safety, alowing the riders the chance to experiment moves without the risk of injury.

DC Shoes will also be exhibiting at the event, and will be holding a rail jam one of the nights. With a free riding format that's set to reward creativity rather than technique, it's likely to be an intriguing spectacle. And there's prizes aplenty on offer, including snow gear and boards.

The event is taking place for the first time following a one-year hiatus, and it's certainly returning with a vengeance. The park will be packed with rails and a number of kickers, ranging from 3m-20m.

The focus of this year's event is to crank up the challenges awaiting riders, with organiser Ollie Schwankhart commenting:

"We want to push the level of riding and build on the development and growth we've experienced every year. Our top guys need to have the facilities to prepare them for an international level of competition. A big part of that is creating top quality rails and kickers that will push the riders to the edge of what they can do."

He confirmed Quiksnow's two key passions as speed and style, with the event offering two divisions, giant slalom and slopestyle.
