Junkyard in the City heading to Oslo

Oslo is set to host the Junkyard in the City competition this winter, which looks set ot be the biggest and baddest snowboard rail jam in Scandanavia this year.
The event will take place on the stairs of the main railway station in Oslo on December 3rd this year.

Twenty of the world’s best rail riders will be competing for their share of the $15,000 cash prize which will be divided out amongst the winners.

Over 5,000 spectators are expected to turn up to the Junkyard in the City, which will use a humungeous scaffolding to launch riders towards the rails and down onto the lower plaza.

The competitors; snowboarders from the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Norway are expected to turn up and try their hand at the event. Four names have already been announced and they are Mike Casanova (USA) Eiki Helgason (ICE), Ludwig Lejkner (SWE) and Fredrik Douglas Perry (NOR).
