Isle of Man rider Zoe Gillings has started training again following her injury heartbreak at the Winter Olympics in February. |

Gillings suffered an injury to her left knee during the Games in Vancouver. The 25 year old faced the pain of crashing out in the semi finals due to the injury, missing out on a final spot by just one place.
However, Gillings is now determined to put her knee problems behind her after revealing she is ready to make a return to competitive action:
"My knee is better, I'm back in the gym and I cant wait to compete again."
Gillings will restart her snowboarding career with a race in Telluride, USA on the 15th December.
The rider has revealed she is ready to start afresh after a difficult couple of months:
"I ended up damaging the cartilage and stretching the ligament in my knee," she said.
"I had to have surgery but at least I injured this during the Olympics and not the competition before. The operation went really well and my knee is nearly back to normal.
"Looking back, I'm disappointed with my eighth place finish, but I did all I could on the day, so I have no regrets." |
