We had a quick catch up with the main man Dom Harrington about his involvement this year with the guy's at BoardNLodge and the up coming trip which is planned in January for the BoardnLodge Snowcamps sponsored by Animal in Nassfeld AUSTRIA. |

GB: What's happening in January, Dom?
Dom: January is going to be amazing, we are ging to Nassfeld which is a rad quite unknown resort in Austria where we will be riding at the Animal Snow camp!
GB: What makes the Animal Snow Camps different to other camps?
Dom: We try to do a bit of everything in the week. Everyday is a mix of jumps, rails, pipe or powder and it's quite relaxed so we will split up into different groups depending on what you want to do that day. The best thing about the camp is all the different people that we get, some come on their own, some in groups but everyone ends up getting together and having good sessions on the hill and it always creates a nice atmosphere
GB: What can we learn in a week on snow camp?
Dom: Well its up to you! We don't want to force anyone to do anything but we just hope that everyone has fun. But then when you have fun you usually end up learning something!
GB: Do we get tuition all day?
Dom: If you want you can get tuition as there will be some proper Instructors like Steve Addicot who is super highly qualified. But most of the day is less like tuition and just more of a session and a chance to ride with a group of people who are motivated to do some good snowboarding.
GB: Have you been to Nassfeld before? Is it a good place to ride?
Dom: Last time I went we had loads of snow so it was amazing. There was also a really fun park and its a great mountain to explore.
GB: Will we be doing some partying as well?
Dom: er.. well we could be persuaded
GB: Why do you enjoy coming on the Animal Snow Camps?
Dom: The riding, the meals at night and the banter with all the other guests and campers
GB: What's your plan after the camp?
Dom: After the camp I will be heading over to the states and spend a bit of time in Breckenridge.
GB: What's your aims for the season, Dom?
Dom: Im not sure really, just stay healthy and have fun
GB: Last question... Tip, for all our campers: How do you keep yourself motivated on your riding goals, to just keep getting better?
Dom: You have to be patient sometimes but just try to enjoy the ride as much as you can.
