British Winter Athletes e-petition to raise funding for Olympic snowboarding

The sad news that the UK Sports Committee decided to axe all Olympic funding for snowboarding may not have affected everyone but it has hurt a lot of people involved with the sport.
British Winter Athletes are now trying to do something about it by taking advantage of the country’s e-petition rules. If their latest petition can receive at least 100,000 signatures backing a funding increase, then the issue will have to be discussed in the houses of parliament.

Having to raise the money themselves is no mean feat for the British snowboarders who want to compete in the Olympic Games. Even the more heavily sponsored riders will still struggle to raise all of the cash needed.

If you feel that you could help by simply signing the e-petition, then visit the British Winter Athlete’s e-petition page and get involved.

Also, why not tell your friends? And get them to tell their friends. If we spread the word enough then maybe we can make a change.
