Oh it's all confusing to me!! Don't know why it can't be the same as when ye doing a kicker, it'd make more sense lol
it's a boardslide SS (something side) then lol

as far as i am aware its completly different.
It comes from skateboarding.
If you approach a rail where the rail is infront of you (on your toe edge) and you have to ollie forward on to it, then its a FRONTSIDE
if you approach a rail and its to the back of you, the heelside and you have to ollie and back on to it, then its a BACKSIDE.
Its depenednt on how you approach the rail not how you are sliding down it

True for spins mate, but opposite for boardslides AFAIK. Frontside boardslide is when your arse points downhill and you twist the upper body, pointing toward the fall line. Heres the video I've been using to learn them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGSdL_fpqTw
Still, as I said, all good photos mate and (being that Im just learning the rail tricks) much better than I could manage! Not meaning to be an arse about it, just thought I'd mention it since I've been watching a lot recently! :-)

think you've got your frontside and backside's mixed it dude. A backside is when you pull a trick and your turning away from the fall-line (bottom of the slope) so that your front is pointing up the hill and your arse is facing down hill. A frontside is when you turn so your facing the fall-line, your front facing down hill and your arse pointing up hill.

Yeah, your other one is a frontside (nice pic again), with your back facing down the hill. On a bigger monitor I can see this one is defo a boardslide.

Hehe it might be, I'm facing down the slope so I thought it was frontside, when your facing up the hill as you said, that's a backside. Like one of the other photo's I've posted on the wide technine box.

Frontside not facing up the hill dude? Looks more like a boardslide to me.
Nice shot all the same. Wish I could do it!
