  #1  How to link to a website  Posted 30/10/2007 @ 14:53
One of the main jobs I undertake on the site, contrary to popular belief is that of turning web addresses into links.

Simply putting a website address in a post does not make it a link and there are 2 ways to do this...

1. Type or paste the link into your post and then highlight the web address. Once highlighted click on the 'web' button and this will create the html for the link.

2. When you want to place a link into your post, click on the 'web' button. This will bring up a dialogue box in which you can type or paste a web address. Once you've entered the address in the box press enter or 'OK'. This will then bring up a further box into which you can type something for the link, i.e. GoneBoarding. Once again either press enter or 'OK'.

Hope this helps.

That's completely different coding Rachie, PM me and I'll help you with that.

Pete, maybe do a screen shot tutorial for it mate!! I too spend most of my time fixing links too. That and sometimes actually making people's posts legible.

But yeah, I spend most of my time doing links too

Sorry you can't do that. You have to upload the picture to a site and then link to it.
