now i know im a bit slow picking up on this kind of thing? (its the age) but why am i reading the winter X games is in Tignes........ and then in another place im reading it in Aspen?  is it held over 2 sections? if so does that mean all the top riders will only take part in the American leg of it??
can someone help out an ageing boarder??

The 'official' X Games was in Aspen at the end of Jan/early Feb (I think) which is where Jenny Jones picked up her second slopestyle gold.
The European leg is a cynical marketing ploy by ESPN to make more money. They are making a big 'ESPN rules' sign out of $500 bills you see, but at the moment it says 'ESPN rule' as they have run out of money, and their advertising execs mentioned that it sounded a bit like a stab at them becoming dictators..... |

There is also an X Games event in Tignes and some big guns will be attending. But if you expect to go and see Shaun White, you will be very dissapointed. Here is an early entry list, of course some will be missing (notably Danny Davis).

Yup, I'm there with 20 mates. Total coincidence that it coincides with the euro x-games, still should be pretty sweet to see some of those names on show. |

its almost impossible to get accomodation there the whole place is going to be over run with industry people |

yeah, looks like it will be a great couple of days. Would have probably tried to get there myself but i'll be hitting it up in Mayrhofen - can't wait!! |
