Ive got it hanging around too, i just always remember unlocking the alien and doing ridiculous spins, ah those were the days :D |

I get that you want a ps2 game, but I had to add.
1080 on N64 is the best snowboarding game in my opinion (i can still hear the guy reading out the riders names)
...closely followed by snowboard kids....  |

Ha, i'd totally forgotten about snowboard kids - Epic multiplayer game.
I recall actually hitting my mate over the head with the n64 pad (a pretty decent weapon really) because he beat me to the lift at the bottom one particular time - Harsh but fair! |

Infact, iv just had a quick google, and it appears there is a new SSX game out in the not too distant future.
Its called "SSX - Deadly Decents" and its suppose to come out in January next year.

Yep the SSX games are all pretty decent, other than the fact that the control system was different to Tony Hawk games so you couldn't play both at the same time without going nuts!
I did attempt to play Sean Palmer's Pro Boarder on PS2, but it was a pretty nasty game really (but boarding with Tony Hawk controls).
I actually rate 1080 Avalanche on Gamecube over the N64 original, and as a bonus it should work on the Wii for any of you whose other halves are into the fitness junk. Not sure if you'd need to grab a cheap 2nd hand gamecube pad from gamestation or wherever to play it properly.
More recently, other than the new SSX4, there's been Stoked - Big Air Edition: http://www.gettingstoked.com/
This attempts to capture more of the freeriding, heli-skiing aspects, as well as riding the mountain co-op with friends. However as with most snowboarding games that try to deviate from the pure arcadey fun stuff, it didn't get great reviews. I've heard the USA version is better/has more features.

that Stoked game looks amazing! Way better than the Shaun White game I recently bought (although for 99p I couldnt go wrong! lol) might try get Stoked now! Will keep an eye out for new SSX though too! |
