I want to go boarding on 5/6th of Dec for a week as thats all i can manage with work. Ive been to Meribel before and absolutely loved it! The problem is that all the package holidays dont start till the week after. Does that mean going this early in December its going to be bad? If not can anyone recommend a decent company/place to go?

Cheers in advance!

A lot of r4esorts won't open until a week or so after that - I'm pretty sure Tignes will be (best to check the website though) as a starting point. I believe a number of the Austrian resorts open early too.

The Grand Motte glacier has already opened for the winter. The rest of Tignes opens at the end of November. So there's always somewhere to ride in early December.

Ruka in Finland should be open, we went a couple of years ago in December and the snow was pretty good as I think their season is Oct to April, not the biggest resort but should be reliable for early season snow and it's a reasonably short transfer from Kuusamo airport
