So I was walking through Truro today, like you do, and of course I swang by Attla... to find it empty and deserted. No stock. No shelves. No staff. Nothing. And the website seems to be gone too...

It closed down a few weeks ago. I was gutted as was my son. It was a good shop, good brands, keen owners. The kids at the skatepark liked the t shirts, shoes and bobble hats. Sorry to see them gone. Danny and Billie if you are out there I hope everything is cool.

That is bad news indeed.

I'd bought a few things from their website for the first time last season and was well impressed with the service.

Good luck guys.

It is always a brave move opening a snowboard shop near the ocean (unless it is in Christchurch NZ). However, they seemed to get the mix right and were dead keen. Some good brands that were starting to draw me away from the usual surf suspect brands that have become boring. I bet the landlord raised the rent. It is a problem at that end of town. It is a shame cos you would want to make shopping intereresting. All those high street chains are so predictable.

That's a real shame. I've bought numerous things from Attla and Billie and Danny were a pleasure to deal with. I've seen that the blog, facebook and twitter have all gone as well.

Did they have a close down sale or just shut up shop? If the landlord put the rent up that's a silly move in this environment unless he has immediate tennants as he'll now be footing the full rates for an empty shop.

If Danny or Billie read this, I wish you the best of luck in your next venture.
