I've never been to the Metro show before so was wondering if anyone had advice on which day(s) are best?

I might be a total idiot but can't seem to find a schedule on the website - http://www.metrosnow.co.uk/the_show/

Don't particularly fancy forking out to see nothing but skiing...

There is stuff on every day, Michael. Depends what you are after. Only things that really change are who is talking in the theatre and what is going on on the slope (London Ride on the Saturday and Brits on the Friday). Schedule will be up in a couple of weeks.

I normally go day-one to try and get some of the previous seasons leftover outerwear before it goes

I don't know if this is common knowledge but I was browsing the Tesco Clubcard website last night and found that £5 in Tesco vouchers gets you one Adult admission to the Ski & Snowboard show. I don't know if this is common knowledge but thought it was worth sharing.

Some... but not many, which is why it's a good idea to go on the first day if you want any of last season's stock. Half the stalls used to be small retailers offering bargains, but these days alot of the square footage is taken up by Ellis Brigham and Snow & Rock selling new kit. You'd be lucky to find two small retailers selling last season's gear... and they won't have much because they'll have sold alot of it before the show - you'll find it right now on their website or in their shop. Given the pressure on small retailers they might not even go this year - I was chatting to them last year and they said they might not. Check the metro website and see who's gonna be there...

But the show's not just about grabbing a bargain so check the rest of the programme too. I like to go just to check out the new gear, watch the shows, grab some resort info, chat to the reps, and get in the mood...

Cheers for the advice but as the first day is a Wednesday I'll be at work - so no cheap gear for me!

Decided to go on Friday to see the Brits though and take a long weekend

I don't know, it is 3 days before we go to India for two weeks so I imagine I will be spending that weekend panic buying medicinal products that I don't need and packing! are you definitely going?
