as much as i really want the dakine super tune kit with everything, including an iron packed in one bag, at £90+ i think is a total rip off.
so i might buy the snowboard kit from datawax.com £28.80 link here to datawax
irons i'm not going to bother with the snowboard branded ones like dakine and burton, since alot of people say just use a normal iron. so has anyone got/tried this... Hinari IIN106 Travel Iron. 410/3336 link here to argos
or Russell Hobbs Travel Iron link here to tescos
as far as i know, thats all i need. anything i'm missing? what do you guys think? |

is that a travel one? or just a normal iron? im specifically looking for travel ones, so i can take along with me on trips, but want to make sure they are adequate enough. bringing a full size iron is not exactly convenient |

If you can wax a board with a couple of hot saucepans as we did in Tignes in 2002 then you can use anything. Make sure you use the big one first and the precision milk one second.
Mines a Rowenta solid base iron, cost about a tenner and has lasted for 9 years so far. |

thanks guys. if the tescos is not much bigger than the russel hob one, which is nice and compact. no brainer i think i will just get the tesco one.
so which leaves the wax kit. is that datawax one good enough? will i need to get the extra stuff that the dakine tune kit has but datawax don't
ie. brush, stones, file (get spare in garage) and whatever else i missed out. |
