#1  WANTED: Cheap as chips Snowboard  Posted 03/08/2009 @ 10:22
Hey there! I'm looking for a cheap as chips snowboard, anything but Burton and within the size region of 153 - 156. Looking for under/around the £100 mark incl p&p but open to offers etc. I will be using this board to float around on at MK so condition isn't much of a factor (as few chips as possible would be nice, I'm not exactly looking for a brand new board) plus I have recently bought some flow bindings which I'm DYING to try out.

Show us what you got!

Hi mate,

I picked up a window demo board from Trespass for £60 a couple of years back. It wasn't much cop but it was a brand new snowboard and ideal for what you're looking for. If you have a shop close to you then you could try asking if they have any out the back.
I've been all over the world, Ibiza, Magaluf, Blackpool etc and Tamworth was by far the best for snowsports!! It's intense man!!! You're totally gripped when you're at the top and looking down...

I've got a Volkl wall Pro 153 from 06 laying about somewhere as well as the Society i've posted about.

Not many people have heard of Volkl as you cant actually buy them in the uk anymore. They used to be available in Snow and Rock but they stopped stocking them last year for some reason. Its a mid flex all mountain freestyle board, actually not disimillar to the Society but a little softer if i remember rightly. I rode it for a season and loved it. Not actually looked at it for a while so really dont remember its condition although i do know its not going to be mint! I can look for it tonight and check if its any good to you?

You could definitely have it for under 100. Probably about 70 delivered would be fare i reccon.

That's me riding it there, although you cant really see it too well.

I was in London a couple of weeks ago and went to a shop called Boardwise (in Hitchin me thinks) anyway they were having a "moving shop" sale and there were loads of cheap boards that were clearly used but still in good condition. Could be worth giving them a call.

Indeedily it is, I went there during my assessment day for SkiWorld, pretty nice place but I was only in there for 20 mins as I knew full well that if I stayed I'd be walking out with a v. cheap custom x that I couldn't really afford.

Try Wickes - you wont get cheaper than that - lol "Do yourself proud"

OR

Try Decathlon, they have boards about £80 ish or

They actually have a shop just outside Tamworth town centre (see map on ebay pages). Although they sell Ski (yeuch) stuff they also sell Rip Curl,Surfanic and a few budget brands or boards but they look alright though.

that is a beaut! hahaha! Those marks don't affect the riding so I am indeed interested the only thing i worry about is how silly it'll look having a white board with black bindings and boots but yeah, snowboarding isn't a fashion statement . Those stickers make the board look evenmore awsome though :D.

how much would you like for it (incl p&p)? do you accept paypal?

Yeah Paypal is cool, it is a wicked board and you will stand out, i rode it for a month in Tignes season before last and only saw one other guy riding one, probably because hardly anywhere sells them!

As its in better condition than i remember its probably worth more then 70 but that's what i originally quotes you so i'll stick to it, £70 delivered (regular post of course)
