Seems a bit like this is the sort of question you should ask before you buy something...

Best boots I've had. Really stiff, but still good in the park.

Mate of mine bought a pair last year. He had issues with the internal centre seams rubbing for a few days which was pretty sore but once they had 'bedded in' he was OK with them.

id say its a rumour, as a rule, boots dont just fall apart, especially high end signature models.

The only pair of Vans I ever had did actually fall apart. The material just started to come off, my feet got wet, they looked terrible after a while. They got about half a seasons usage out of them first.

They were a pair of Daniel Francks and it was like back in 2004, so maybe they've improved materials. But it was enough to make me never want to buy Vans boots again.

My last pair of boots lasted 43 days last season, my Wiig's are still going strong after 70+ days and I can see them lasting a long time into this season.

I will buy another pair when theses give up.

Why would you assume that?

No experience with the Wiig per se, however, it's the Danny Kass boot, rebranded after he went to Nike. I rode them for a few seasons and loved them - super comfy.

because its a 'signature boot' i.e higher in the range

Why? You said below 'boots dont just fall apart' so you must have had a bad pair. Send the back and get them changed.
