Top Sheet Repair
Posted 11/02/2010 @ 23:49
Sorry if this has been asked before, I have searched but couldn't find anything on it.
I was just wondering what would be the best way to repair this? I wasn't sure what glue / expoxy to use so I thought it would be best to ask first.
Thanks.

Hi.
I've used a stanley knife to get rid of the snagged bit and araldite in the past to seal it. Araldite will yellow over time and can easily be replaced if needed.
If I can find my camera and my board I'll post some photos of mine.

In reply to post #2 ...
Use some epoxy resin for plastic/fiberglass. Unibond do a syringe setup which is temp resistant to -30. Apply the resin, seal the straggly bit down for 24 hours then trim / lightly sand the excess resin down. Seal with a coat of clear nail varnish.
Thats what ive done for chips in the past.

Ok thanks for your help, I'm gunna try and stick the straggly bit back down so it doesn't look as obvious. Its annoying how it happened, only rode the board for an hour but had to avoid someone and hit a fence. Rather that than take out a 4 year old boy though.
I'm going to try Araldite epoxy resin, cold resistant to -60 and is meant to flex and take 'rough handing.'
I'll let you know how it goes.
