Koopa le Trooper and Toadie....
battling against
Konger Monger and Bowser le Trowser!!!
Oh the memories of a mispent youth, missing revision through battling with my mate Coops.......just one more battle best of 3, ok!! ........half an hour later ok, best of 19.........ok one more, thats it.....best of 35....winner gets a free pint!!.......4hrs later....right then, this is really the last game........best of 437 wins, final!!! ok ok - you must have all experienced similar events, whilst dreaming of snow!! |

We used to have PS2 nights at mine before the Mrs came back and moved in. Played all night till about 4am once - unfortunately it was the crappy Shaun Palmers game  . Now it's the Pro Evolution series all the way. |

oh how i love this game - so much so that i chipped my xbox and have a SNES emu on there just so i could play this game!

One of my favourite games ever - spent hours trying to shave a single second off my best time in the Ghost House. By the end of it all I could probably complete most courses with my eyes closed with the perfect racing line round every corner...
Simple is always best - there are 'better' games out there, but I don't think I've had more fun playing any other game... |

 Somehow a copy of SNES emulator arrived at my house - blessed!! I could've cried......my poor ol' SNES is starting to think about giving up the ghost (valley3) and now I can continue playing in blissful harmony forever and a day!.....
Can anyone recommend a shop to buy a control pad for the PC.........?? |

awesome game !!!!! one of the most playable games of all time! countless hours spent at university playing Mario on the SNES !!! shouting abuse at each other for dropping a banana or getting rammed off the road by DONKEY !!!  |

Got a couple of xbox's in our house, both hooked up to live and both with Halo 2 but it's still the snes and mariokart that gets all the action.

 Drapes, you may want to check out this thread........considering you are putting up such a bold challenge, I too,owned SNES and yes MarioKart took some hammering, two new controllers, second copy of the game.....
Yep, you guessed it, there are some Pro Racers on this forum, and I reckon, you'd be hard pushed to beat us......

SuperMario Kart was great. So is Pro Evo 4.
However, can I throw Sensible Soccer into the ring? Truly the greatest game of all time, ever.
Can I also say that FIFA footballs games are utter tripe.....

Sub 58! Oh man i'm sad. I have got written down at home all my fastest lap times somewheres. As i recall yer looking at 56 seconds ish for mario 1 with a couple of mushrooms.
Or if you use Donkey Kong you can clock 54!
I remember theres at least 4 tracks that you can get a "Sub Minute" for a 5 lapper on.
Might have to call my mate in Cardiff, he was a grand master!
If we have 4 people that want to take the challenge, we should all meet up. £20 in the pot each, winner takes all. Challenge rules as previously stated!

Best two player game ever? Provided we are not including online multiplayer..strictly limited to 2 player on the couch next to each other style...
Hmmm in no particular order.
Tekken 3 - sooo many broken ps1 controllers, eddie should be banned...
Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, Golden Axe - the 'ole woops threw your mate off the building by accident...
Sensible Soccer - on Amiga of course...
SuperMarioKart on the SNES
jonah lomu rugby - still the best rugby game
NBA Jam - why was it always 77-79 with your opponent hitting a 3 from their court on the buzzer...
Goldeneye007 - proximity mines in 'facility'...
Tennis - on the original gameboy over link cable.
TigerWoods2003/4/5 - on ps2 or xbox...one of my favourite games ever.
i'll probably think of another 10 later. |

DAMN eddie and the chick with the same moves! The button bashers character's of choice without a doubt.
I remember being a seasoned expert with Law and Lei, and giving my sister's friend a go who'd never played in her life, she promptly chose Eddie and gave me a severe whooping!! All those hours of practice down the drain!!
To continue on this geeky rant, Soul Caliber 2 is awesome as well, although it too has a button basher's favourite in the shape of the staff weilding Kilik!! Grrrrrrr
Goldeneye and perfect dark rock too!
