Summer boarding

Revision #1
(Last edited: 27/01/2012 @ 14:01)
Just got back from a week's boarding and am already missing the snow.
Thinking of trying one of Europes glaciers this summer and wondered if anyone had any recommendations.
So far, looks like Tignes and Les Deux Alps are our best bets
Thanks

There's also stubai, hintertux and a couple more in Austria. Stubai is pretty good as it's only 20mins from Innsbruck airport and there's some good campsites as well as hotels.

Has anyone here been summer boarding on a glacier previously? Im considering going on a freestyle camp at deux alpes this summer, was wondering what people had to say about it. Ive heard it can be good fun as long as you dont go expecting fresh snow and are just looking to hone park stuff. Sound about right?

That's about right.
Also bear in mind that when you come down off the glacier, you'll be wandering around in shorts and Ts swimming in the local/campsite/hotel pool, and sitting on the terrace in the sun drinking cold beers. Pretty much the best of both worlds
I've heard really good things about Deux Alpes glacier, but haven't ridden there myself. Anyone?

There's also a couple of Italian resorts, have a look at some of the threads on this forum
