Strange question but......

Anyone ever spray painted their highbacks? Any reason (chemicals and damagin integrity blah) not to do it?

My missus has a pair of Burton Lexas in Black that she doesn't think "goes with her new board".

Rather than go down the new binders route I was just thinking on taking the highbacks of, spraying them in her desired colour, than adding a lacquer over the top to seal it and stop them running onto her trousers.

Anyone any technical reasons as to why not?

I'm sure user Chorlton has done it. If I remember correctly you have to be careful that the paint doesn't crack.

Mate, you're preaching to the converted on that one! I ride white bindings on a red tartan topsheet so I dont give a feck how my equipment looks. I just want to ride it.

Unfortunately, I consider myself pretty lucky to have a wife who's taken it on as well as it means I get to ride more. So anything I have to do to keep that entusiasm going I'll go for!
