its frozen water, but it doesnt exactly melt on impact does it. yeah you might get a bit of spray on it, but its never gonna be enough to screw it over, you need actual water to seep into the electrics to do any damage and its a pretty solid casing so its not exactly super vulnerable to water getting in.

on another note, im ditching the sanyo in place of a new gopro HD hero i just bought, a bit pricey but with the fisheye 170 degrees lens and the full waterproofing to 60m you cant go wrong, now i can film all year round with in water surf footage in summer, and skateboard, and then my snowboard and skiing in winter. and everything in between, awesome :D i just wish it had a standard quality mode with widescreen so it doesnt monster up my computer memory and need such high processor speeds and video card quality, but thats life i guess for the quality
