hello,

i wax my board in the garage and have done for along time but it rests on 2 blocks of wood with another in the middle to stop flex and means the bindings dont get squashed. the board slips about quite a bit and doing the nose and tail is always fiddly.

i noticed there are vices out there but none have a suction cup on them that i think would be better. are these available? what does everyone else do? or rest theres on

thanks

I rest mine on 3 padded chairs, but still get some flex.

I was thinking the other day, would a step ladder work? Ie put the bindings through a couple of rungs, and prob line the rungs with rubber to stop damage to your board and also stop it slipping

someone on here posted the other day that they stick a paving slab lifter with suction cup in a vice and stick there board on that

thought it was a really good idea, granted not everyone has a paving slab lifter to hand but thats just a technicality

A good mate of mine has a workbench with holes for the bindings.

I use a piece of wood, 1 x 2 inches and about 18 inches long, drilled so that I can screw it to the board in the binding screw holes. I had to countersink so the screws reach through the wood but then I just grip the wood in my workmate bench and it holds it rock solid.

Integrated bottle opener. That's a class piece of kit.

Now I don't have to leave my board to have a beer. Oh wait, the beer is in the fridge in that room where the bottle opener is...

i like to pay a 'lady of night' 75 fine english pounds to strip & get on all fours so i can rest my board on her back. They really like it when the hot wax dribbles off the edge of the board. This works for me on so many levels.........!!!!!!

Thats what i call 'soho snowboard vice'!!!

LOL, maybe they just need to sell a beer fridge with an integrated board vice. I'd buy one !
