  #2  Snowboard boots comfort  Posted 12/11/2017 @ 11:07
I have recently purchased a pair of Salomon Launch but they were torturing my feet. Now I am on a lookout for new boots and have tried few pairs, really looking for something that will actually fit my odd feet properly (wide toecap, fairly narrow heel). After trying about 20 different pairs of boots Burton Ion fits the best. Really feels nice on my feet. I am concerned about the stiffness rating of this model though. It is 2018 version rated as stiff. I am a beginner, can link turns fine just working on my switch at the moment. What do you think, is it worth prioritising comfort over softness of the boot for a beginner? (32 Lashed was the next best thing but to get some comfort I had to a size higher - normally I am 11 but had to go 12 with 32 Lashed to feel I have enough room) Would I get away with riding Burton Ion or would it affect my progression?
