Morning all,
can any of you give me any advice on where to attempt some riding in Scotland this weekend. I'm in Aberdeen so well placed for most of main resorts.

cheers

I can;t come out to play this weekend (bloody inconsiderate friend getting married ) but I'm really wanting to get up to the Nevis range - maybe we could organise something for end of Feb - make a GB trip of it?

The Lecht,Glenshee and Cairngorm will be the easiest for you.
There should be sport at all the areas but it will be a bit limited.
Have a look at the Ski Scotland website. for what will be open.
The runs are likely to be hard and narrow in the morning and also fairly busy......but go for it and let us know how it was.

Ended up going to Glenshee in the end...

Theres very little snow left, only one red and one Blue\Green open. The red was in very poor condition, it had a 20 metre gap halfway down. The Green run although short was good fun because it was fairly bumpy. However the rocks and areas of brown made La Plange look a few weeks ago positively deep in powder. The state of me poor board

Good to get in the mountains again, Its a bit of a novelty getting some white stuff in blighty. I can see the potential with a bit more snow

Sorry missed your earlier post. Yep I'm up for that, I've got plenty of room in my Ford Mundano. Mid Feb would be better though as I'm escaping back to England then.

As you say at least you got out into the mountains for a day.
Its very mild again and there is no sport at Cairngorm today and Glenshee now states there is not enough snow for skiing/boarding.
Nevis Range looks like the only place for some action today but it will be very limited.
The better news is that it will get colder with the chance of snow again by midweek.

Oooo this could be fun - Lucy (angelic) is visiting me in the fair 'burgh on the 18th so she could maybe come along for the day if she fancied a bit of snow

There are snowsports available today at Cairngorm and at Nevis Range but the cover is very limited.

im really having trouble with what swear word starts in b and ends in y with that many letters in the middle?

Anyway - this could be a definate plan - a friend went up to Aviemore this weekend and was apparantly pretty poop but to be honest any sighting of snow and I'd be a happy kitty
