Going to Sauze Doulx this Sunday. Has anyone been before?

Any recommendations for good slopes, bars & restaurants?

Can you recommend any good bars in Sauze Doulx? I'm guessing the prices of the drinks are fairly expensive outside the happy hour?

Can't remember any names but the older part of the town is cheaper. If you keep Paddy McGinty's on your left and walk down the hill, staying left you should cone across a water well. Most of the bars after that were about half the price of the others.

At the bottom of the slopes is The Derby Bar, you have to walk downstairs to get to it. They used to do free pizza between 4-6 as long as you were drinking.

Gran Trun (sp?) is one in the old part where there's a guy on the guitar called Chaddy (or was everytime I went but that was a few years ago now) - that was always a good night. Derby as already mentioned is good too.

Slope wise there's plnety of easily accessible off piste and tree runs where you'll have room to turn which is what makes it one of my favourite resorts. Get over the back of Sportinia (but be prepared for the long drag) and also head over to Sestriere if the run is open.
