It snowed yesterday at lake level, about 2in.
Went for a tour Sunday. Stupidly unfit right now:

South facing slopes were sun affected, with surface hoar at ridge lines on all aspects. North facing was still powder. It snowed enough that I'm going to dig a pit this Saturday I think e heading out again on Sunday. Want to get an idea of how that surface hoar layer is behaving.

Good times in the trees though

A lovely sunny morning in Rossland, no fresh snow overnight so it will be another easy day. Snow is forecast so hope it comes.
Had a nice first day yesterday on lovely groomers.

Had a great day on the hill at Red Mountain, as it was raining in town this morning (plus the clocks changing last night) there were very few people about. Light snow at base turned to decent sized flakes higher up resulting in fresh tracks all day. Its snowed all day and is now snowing nicely down in town so looking good for Monday. Paradise chair was out of action today though but with so few people out there was more than enough sport from the Motherlode chair.

A great day in the pow at Red. Motherlode chair was on hold until 10.40am until all the areas on Granite Mountain had been cleared and checked. There was a slide on "Beer Belly" earlier in the morning, something not seen in that area for a good few years. Some of the runs had well over the 35cm stated from overnight. It was deep but not the lightest and after a few runs it got a bit harder worked as our fav areas began to get chopped up. After lunch I was still making fresh tracks with hardly anyone else around. It was brighter by late afternoon but the good news is that more snow is forecast by the w/e.
Its brilliant being back home in Rossland.
