Do you have boots yet? You mention getting board and bindings but boots should always be the first considered purchase.

Demo as many boards as you can from TSA at Cas.
They will also explain the differences between camber and reverse camber for you.

Much better than buying blind off the net or getting bewildered with loads of conflicting info online.

(ps - If you do decide to do some googling on the different types of camber - you are learning on reverse camber at the moment).

The rental board will have a fixed stance width, but if you get your own board you can set this to what suits you so don't worry about that.
