If you apply to all the hills then yes..... it is likely....
Also, read through this thread.... just turning up in town with enough cash for a few weeks and a bit of persistance you will find a job in QT. |

Guys, need some pointers on season passes in NZ. I'm going to be staying in Wanaka and currently looking at the Treblecone pass... What are your thoughts/recommendations? Trying to make the most of the earlybird but not sure which one to get? |

Treble Cone unless your really into your park riding in which case i'd go to Cardrona. If you mean which pass in TC, then that depends on how much you will be riding but if you make TC your home then the unlimited pass makes the most sense.
Why did they ever get rid of the super pass |

TC comes with reciprocal lift pass deals with snowpark and Ohau which should help make those day trips cheaper. |

As Hutchy said, does depend a bit on your type of riding. It's a shame there's no discount between Cardrona and TC passes really.
For a season pass, I'd tend to go for Cardrona as conditions are generally better there than TC when there's not been any snow for a while. I find TC gets very dull unless it's been dumping (when it's epic!!). On piste there is generally poo.
Defo make sure you get over to Ohau though, especially midweek - unbeatable views and untracked pow days after it's dumped.

QUOTE (Rogue_Skier - 05/08/2009 @ 17:09) In-bounds, yes as EVERY possible line is skier-compressed from day one.... Out of bounds, no.... the skippers road is regularly closed due to Avi debris.... NZ weather is such that there always tends to be numerous buried layers and when the big dumps do come they just sit waiting to go! (The stuff.co.nz map was a bit off by the way, it seams the avi was not that far out of bounds from the far end of Sarah Sue) Big issue right now is that the conditions have not been right for Avi's to naturally release so slopes are loaded everywhere.... it'll be interesting if things warm up a few degrees or theres another heavy dump of snow. Shame i'm not there to witness all this.... the last few seasons were boring in comparison. Koo is that you?? |

Yes. That was a messy affair. NZ are pure class fair play, just a pity I couldn't enjoy the rugby as it was my country they were being class against |

Hello
I'm off on a trip to New Zealand next week, can't wait. Few days in Auckland then off to Queenstown for a week.
I'm sure I'll work it all out when I'm there but anyone got any tips on the best places to go? where to board, where to eat, where to drink etc?
cheers |
